This past weekend, we decided to go to DC and visit some places we hadn't been, and believe me we have been to most places. Our favorite was Roosevelt Island...who knew such a beautiful memorial existed on the island. We are going back in the Spring, when the water fountains will hopefully be running.We also stopped(we have driven by many times) Iwo Jima memorial, and the Netherlands Carillion,both really neat. In the summer, they have bell concerts at the Carillion.
Tim had always wanted to get up close to the Air Force Memorial...so he did. We realize no matter how many times we go into DC, there is always something fun to see and do.
